Sunday morning. The water heater quit.
Field service software for plumbing shops.
The water heater quits on a Sunday morning. Somebody answers while you're on the job. The tech puts three options on the phone in the driveway, and the customer pays before the truck leaves. That's the second shift Tandem is built to cut: the retyping, the chasing, the paperwork at night.
What does a missed call cost a plumbing shop?
Three questions, no email. It starts from numbers for plumbing and shows every assumption. An estimate, not a promise.
Your shop's leak check
After the work is done, the second shift starts: the calls, the retyping, the schedule repair, the follow-ups and the payment chasing. Put a number on it.
One plumbing job, without the handoff gaps
Stop retyping the same job. Only what the product does today; the price book starts with trip charges, drain clearing, water heaters from a flush to a tankless install, and common fixtures.

Options on the spot, signed on the phone.
In the tech app, build the estimate from your price book: a repair, a replacement, an upgrade. The homeowner picks one and signs on the screen, or from the link you text them. You can ask for a deposit.
Every planPaid before you leave.
Collect on the job from the tech app. Customers pay by card or bank transfer (ACH) on a secure checkout page and can add a tip, and you can record cash and checks. Payments go through your own Stripe account.
Every planA price book with the cost in it.
Start from the plumbing price book: trip charge, drains, water heaters and fixtures. Every item keeps its cost, margin and labor minutes, so a flat-rate price shows what it earns.
Every planPhotos and checklists on the job.
The tech takes photos, fills in the checklists you set up and adds price-book items on the job. The office sees the answers and the pictures on the same job. With no signal, the app saves it all and sends it, in order, when the phone is back online.
Every planThe Sunday call gets answered.
The receptionist answers your line and texts when you can't, books an open time or logs the lead, and hands the call to a person when one should take it. Every call and transcript lands in your Inbox.
On LevelSell the yearly service plan.

What plumbing owners ask first
We're only two people. Is this overkill?
Maybe. If one calendar, one phone and one invoice process are working without dropped handoffs, keep them. Tandem earns its place when you're the bridge between those: the call, the schedule, the tech and the invoice all pass through you. Plans start at one person and add people one at a time, and the prices are written on the pricing page.
We already use QuickBooks and Google Calendar.
Keep using what works. Tandem has its own schedule board, and it doesn't sync with Google Calendar. A QuickBooks sync is on the list of things it doesn't do yet, so you'd keep entering what you need there yourself. What Tandem connects is the job: the call, the visit, the estimate, the text to the customer and the payment.
My techs lose signal in crawlspaces and basements.
The tech app keeps working. What a tech does with no signal is saved on the phone and sent in order, exactly once, when the phone is back online. That includes notes, photos, checklists and recording a cash or check payment. Anything that needs a connection, like a customer's card payment, waits for one.
Can I give options and get paid in the driveway?
Yes. The tech builds good, better and best from your price book in the app, and the customer picks one and signs on the phone. Then the tech collects: the customer pays by card or bank transfer on a secure page and can add a tip, or you record cash or a check. Tap to Pay on the phone isn't built yet.
Can my techs document the job?
Yes. They take photos, fill in the checklists you set up and add price-book items from the job screen, and the office sees all of it on the same job.

In Housecall Pro or Jobber, export your customers and price book as CSV, then past jobs, estimates, invoices and payments the same way. Tandem shows you every row before anything is saved, and importing never texts, emails or charges your customers.
