The product is Tandem
A new name and a new look across the office app, the tech app, customer emails and the public site: warm cream, deep teal and coral. What the product does didn't change.
A new public site
A home page with a money-leak calculator, a one-job story, plain pricing, features, FAQ, control and guardrails, contact and a free website page.
Comparisons, free calculators and this page
Side-by-side pages for Housecall Pro, Jobber and ServiceTitan, three free calculators and this changelog, with the things Tandem doesn't do yet.
The Inbox shows who has seen a message
Each conversation says whether the office and the tech have read the customer's newest message. You can mark one unread, and the unread dot follows you across devices.

Customers, jobs, estimates, invoices and payments
The core records, with an open API (REST and GraphQL) and signed webhooks, so your other tools can read and write them.
The office app
A live dispatch board you drag jobs across, a sales pipeline, a customer portal for approving estimates and paying, online booking, texts and emails, and a shared inbox.
The tech app
Technicians see their day, clock in, take photos, fill checklists, build estimates and take payments, including invoices made with no signal.
Plans, sign-up and billing
Three plans with extra seats and billing through Stripe. We're setting shops up one at a time right now, so you request early access and we set yours up with you.
Bring your data from Housecall Pro or Jobber
Import customers, the price book and past jobs, estimates, invoices and payments from CSV or Excel files, with a preview of every row and an undo while nothing has been done with what came in.
A free website
A click-to-edit site for your trade business on every plan, with booking requests and analytics.
Connect Claude or ChatGPT
Sign in from an AI app and let it work with your Tandem data as you, read-only by default.
Marketing and follow-ups
Ready-made automations for estimate follow-ups, review requests and speed to lead, plus text, email and postcard campaigns with STOP and unsubscribe built in.
Routes, time off and overtime
Drive-time route planning for a technician's day, time-off requests and approvals, company closures, and overtime under federal or California rules.
The AI receptionist, with its limits written down
It answers calls and texts, books open times and takes callbacks, on a short list of things it can do. AI minutes are counted per plan, with any overage billed.
What Tandem doesn't do yet
We'd rather you hear it here than find out on a job. None of this is promised for a date.
Consumer financing
Waiting on a partnerOffering customers a payment plan needs a lending partner. We've decided to pursue it and the application is pending.
Tap to Pay on the phone
Partly builtThe groundwork for taking a card tap on a technician's phone is there, but the native phone build isn't shipped, so it isn't offered.
A QuickBooks sync
Built, not proven yetThe sync exists but hasn't been run against a real QuickBooks company, so we don't offer it until it has.
Reserve with Google
Not startedBooking from Google search needs Google's partner approval, which we haven't started.
Spanish screens or Spanish calls
Not startedTandem and its receptionist work in English.
Moving your phone number in from inside the app
Not startedToday you buy a new number in the app or have us assign one. Porting an existing number is done through Twilio, by hand.
Approval cards and undo for what the receptionist does
Not startedUntil then, the short list of things it may do and the off switch are the guardrails.
Customer equipment in the import
Not startedEquipment records, such as a unit's model, serial number and warranty, can be added in the app but can't come over from a CSV yet.
Two-way messaging with lead marketplaces
Waiting on a partnerLeads from those marketplaces can come in through webhooks. Replying to customers inside their apps needs their partner APIs.
Overtime rules for every state
Partly builtOvertime follows federal and California rules. Other states' daily rules and alternative workweeks aren't in.
Final legal terms
Needs reviewThe privacy policy, terms and acceptable use pages are drafts until a lawyer has reviewed them.
How this page is kept
It's written by hand from what the product's own records say shipped, and reviewed whenever something an owner would notice changes. When a thing on the second list ships, it leaves that list and appears in the month it shipped. Entries cover what you can do, not every fix. Something wrong or missing? Tell us.
