A panel upgrade. Permit noted.
Field service software for electrical shops.
A panel upgrade is a big job: good, better and best on one estimate, the permit and inspection on the line, a deposit up front and a crew on the board. Your tech sees the job. Your office sees the same job.
What does a missed call cost an electrical shop?
Three questions, no email. It starts from numbers for electrical and shows every assumption. An estimate, not a promise.
Your shop's leak check
After the work is done, the second shift starts: the calls, the retyping, the schedule repair, the follow-ups and the payment chasing. Put a number on it.
One electrical job, without the handoff gaps
Stop retyping the same job. Only what the product does today; the price book starts with diagnostics, devices like GFCIs and switches, breakers, 200A panel upgrades, Level 2 EV charger circuits and whole-home surge protection.

Price the panel upgrade in options.
Build good, better and best from the electrical price book. The starter 200A panel line says permit and inspection are included, so the customer sees it on the estimate. They compare on a texted link and sign. For a big job, ask for a deposit first.
Every planTwo techs, one job.
Tick every technician on a job and it shows in each of their lanes and each of their tech apps. Drag it to a new time and everyone on it moves. A job that takes more than a day gets a visit for each day.
Every planChecklists and photos for the finished work.
Set up the checklists you want filled in, and the tech fills them in with photos. The office sees the answers and the pictures on the job.
Every planDeposit, invoice, paid from the link.
A deposit on the estimate becomes an invoice the customer pays by card or bank transfer (ACH) on a secure page. Payments go through your own Stripe account, and the final invoice is paid the same way.
Every planThe customer knows when you're on the way.
When the tech taps On my way, the customer gets a text with an arrival time and a live tracking link.
Every planAfter-hours calls get answered, with limits.
The receptionist can book an open time or log a lead. In an emergency it points the caller to 911 or the utility first, then hands the call to a person. It can't quote a price.

What electrical owners ask first
We're only two people. Is this overkill?
Maybe. If one calendar, one phone and one invoice process are working without dropped handoffs, keep them. Tandem earns its place when you're the bridge between those: the call, the schedule, the tech and the invoice all pass through you. Plans start at one person and add people one at a time, and the prices are written on the pricing page.
We already use QuickBooks and Google Calendar.
Keep using what works. Tandem has its own schedule board, and it doesn't sync with Google Calendar. A QuickBooks sync is on the list of things it doesn't do yet, so you'd keep entering what you need there yourself. What Tandem connects is the job: the call, the visit, the estimate, the text to the customer and the payment.
My techs lose signal in crawlspaces and basements.
The tech app keeps working. What a tech does with no signal is saved on the phone and sent in order, exactly once, when the phone is back online. That includes notes, photos, checklists and recording a cash or check payment. Anything that needs a connection, like a customer's card payment, waits for one.
Can it handle multi-day jobs and two techs on one job?
Yes. A job that takes more than a day gets a visit for each day, and each visit is scheduled and dispatched like any job. Tick every tech on a job and it shows in each of their lanes and apps.
Does it handle permits?
Not as a feature. Tandem doesn't file or track permits. The starter price book's 200A panel line notes that permit and inspection are included, so the customer sees that on the estimate, and your checklists and photos can hold what you record on the job.

In Housecall Pro or Jobber, export your customers and price book as CSV, then past jobs, estimates, invoices and payments the same way. Tandem shows you every row before anything is saved, and importing never texts, emails or charges your customers.
